Our Deutz timing belt kits are designed to get the job done right the first time. Not only do the kits have all the tools you’ll need, but the belts and pulley are the most current version and we provide a full set of detailed instructions to answer all of your questions.
The Deutz 1011 / 1011F “Complete Kit” includes a timing belt, a tensioner pulley, timing tension gauge, 2 custom timing pins, a torx bit and installation instructions. This is the right choice if you don’t have the tools and your current belt has not broken or skipped time. The tools in the kit are a one-time investment you can use when it comes time to replace the belt again.
The Deutz 1011 / 1011F “Complete Package 3 Cylinder” and “Complete Package 4 Cylinder” kits include everything in the Complete Kit plus a full set of push rods and rocker tower bolts for your 3 or 4 cylinder Deutz engine. This kit is the right choice if your belt snapped or skipped time while running.
Since Deutz 1011 and 2011 series engines are “interference” engines, when the timing belt breaks or skips the piston impacts the valve, potentially damaging the piston, and driving excess force up through the push rods into the rocker arm assembly. Aside from bending push rods, this can stretch the rocker tower bolts which are a single use bolt according to the manufacturer and if the bolts are stretched and re-used they can loosen prematurely causing performance issues or further engine damage.
If you have already purchased this complete kit, at the next belt change interval (general guideline are every 1,000 hours or 3 years under normal operating conditions) you can simply purchase a refill kit consisting of just the belt and pulley.
