This OE replacement kit contains the Pressure Relief Valve (PRV), the Rail Pressure Sensor(RPS), and new o-seals. This valve and sensor are designed to fail and need replacement after a limited number of faults are triggered. Before replacing the PRV and RPS you should check your Fuel Control Actuator/MProp/Metering Unit and Harness since if either are faulty they can cause repeated PRV/RPS faults which will lead to premature failure of the PRV and RPS. Some equipment panels that use SPN or KWP codes, might show the following error codes which may indicate you need to replace the PRV and RPS. Possible Codes: SPN: 164, 523470, 523009, 523470, 157 and/or KWP: 1381, 2026, 825, 826, 827, 828, 829, 830, 831, 832, 833, 877, 878 When you are ready to install this replacement kit, make sure you install these to factory torque specifications (100nm for the Pressure Relief Valve; 80nm for the Rail Pressure Sensor).
