Notes: The 2-Notch head gasket is the most common head gasket we see for these engines. The number of notches indicates gasket thickness with 1-notch being the thinnest and 3-notches being the thickest. Generally, unless you are resurfacing your engine block, you will typically want to replace your head gasket with a gasket of the same number of notches (see product images for example of notches). In some cases a multi-layer steel gasket was used for certain 2011 series engines which will be heavier in weight and will not have the sealant pattern inlays on the gasket surface. If your gasket has 1-notch, 3-notches or is multi-layer steel call us before ordering as we like to keep them in stock.
