Replacement 10″ Split Friction Disc (6.5″ ID)

This 10″ split friction disc replaces the fiber discs for Twin Disc, Rockford, NACD and WPT Power ten-inch PTO clutches that have the same common dimensions.  Note that while the more common 10″ split friction disc interior diameter is 5.5″, this friction disc has and ID of  6.5″ which was used in a smaller number of clutch packs mostly made by Rockford and NACD.  While these are usually referred to as ten-inch discs, when put together, the disc actually measures closer to 10.75″ from tip-of-tooth to the opposite tip- of-tooth or 10″ from tooth groove to opposite tooth groove and has a thickness of just under 0.5″.

Split discs like this can be used to replace a solid friction disc with the benefit being that you don’t have to remove the clutch pack from the PTO shaft and take it apart just to replace the disc, however there is a trick:  The orientation of the disc segments matters so before trying to install the new split disc, make sure you can align the three disc segments inside the drive ring on your flywheel so they fit together properly and then install them into your clutch pack with the same orientation.  This will help to avoid making the process more frustrating than it needs to be.
