This OEM injection pump distance piece is a machine plate adapter that allows the injection pump to be installed on the Deutz 2.9 and 3.6 series engines. This can sometimes be difficult to remove when disassembling due to rust and corrosion and as a result may break and need to be replaced. If you find you need to replace this component, be sure to get the O-seal with it and you will have all the parts needed to get the job done right!
