News from Our interns

Every summer, Foley Engines recruits bright college students to join us in our facility to work as (paid) interns.

From time to time we follow their careers after being with us.

This section of our website is devoted to those updates and developments.

Good News! Sean Trimby is back to spend his Christmas 2011 winter break with us. He will be installing and setting up our a new Van Norman FG5000 flywheel grinder with automatic downfeed. Our Twin Disc® and Rockford PTO Clutch business is booming and we needed additional machining capability to meet the demand for remanufactured Twin Disc and Rockford PTO clutch packs. Sean is a junior at the Rochester Institute of Technology and has spent the past two summers with us as an Intern.

Hello Foley Engines Team,

I am writing this to keep you updated on how the school year is going. This past weekend, I took part in a ‘Moot Court’ Competition, which basically tests your knowledge of the law and Supreme Court cases. This was the Eastern Regional Tournament, schools such as Duke, Bentley and University of Tampa entered the competition.

I am proud to say that I ranked 6th out of 52 teams and have earned a bid in the National Tournament in California.

I would just like to say thank you greatly to the entire Foley Engines team, especially Dr. Diesel, for supporting me and pushing me in the right direction by showing me that the only obstacle stopping me from succeeding is myself.

Once again, thank you for everything,

Edwin Pacheco Diaz
