Worcester’s Ecotarium, a branch of our Natural History Museum, was scheduled to open this past weekend. But the narrow gauge train that takes the kids around to various locations on their campus had a broken drive shaft. This train powered by a four-cylinder Continental TM27 engine was down and it looked like it wasn't going to be running for the opening weekend. We learned of the problem late Thursday afternoon. Our guys sprung into action and began to fabricate a new, improved drive shaft with a better bearing and greaseable universal joint. They finished just as we closed on Friday afternoon. Saturday morning Phil George, our Service Manager, installed the new drive shaft and coupler on the train in time for the opening bell! We knew we couldn't let the kids down!
